Quicksilver is free on amazon right now!

Happy Sunday everybody. Hope you’re having a good weekend.

Review Copies Available

As I said before, I really want to share my book. If you’d like a review copy, email me at the address on my contact page and let me know your desired file type (epub, pdf, etc.).

Quicksilver is only available in ebook format right now, so unfortunately I can’t provide print copies at this time, but the good thing about that is there’s no limit to the number of review copies I can send out. So if you’re even just a little bit interested, let me know and I’ll send you a copy. Even if you don’t have an established review blog or site, that’s okay. Hopefully you’ll spread the word somehow if you like it. Amazon and goodreads reviews are always appreciated too, of course!

Thanks so much for reading!

Book Launch!

Quicksilver is out today!

You can read more about it here.

I’m so excited that this story I’ve been telling myself for years is finally available for anyone in the world to read! It’s also eligible for Kindle Unlimited, so if you are a KU member, you can download it for free, which is also pretty awesome.

I would give my books away for free if I could. I don’t have any intention of making money from them, I just want people to read them. I really hope this book reaches the people who need to read it, and that cost isn’t an issue. So take a look and see if you’re interested. And if you want to read it, it doesn’t matter if you buy or share or download it for free. Welcome to my story.

My second book, and why I write

My second novel, Quicksilver, will be released in about two weeks, and it’s available for preorder on Amazon right now!

I published my first novel over two years ago. It was largely a learning experience for me, and I’ve tried to incorporate the lessons I’ve learned into Quicksilver. I’ve tried to make the world and characters believable, the pacing and plot smooth and satisfying — and of course there are strong gay characters. Actually, a world full of them.

Here’s the synopsis:

After global war left planet Gaia largely uninhabitable, the survivors built a new life underground. But the subway system they inhabit was never meant for long-term habitation — and now it’s collapsing. When metalworker Gerel Marens learns of a material strong enough to withstand the brutal conditions above ground, he sets off on a journey to find it, and hopefully start rebuilding the world.

This novel means a lot of different things to me. It is about another world, but it is also about the one we live in. It allowed me an escape from my life and also a new perspective on it. I hope it means as much to readers as it does to me. I think that’s my real goal as a writer. Not to publish or sell or any of that, but to find a way to share the things I find meaningful.

I hope you find characters and ideas to connect with in Quicksilver. I hope it means something to you.

I have wanted to write about this for a long time.  I have so much to say about it. The problem is that I don’t have any stories about it– not that I am willing to share, at least. The world belongs to people who have the best stories.  Sexual liberation belongs to women who are willing to stand up and say “I have sex! I have this much sex with this many people, and it’s okay!” or  “I dress like this, so take that society!” Purity, modesty, and all that is pro-Virgin power comes from personal testimonies and Conservatively told bible stories.

And then there’s me.

Of course, I admire people who do tell their stories. They have changed my life, and the world really does belong to them.  Stories have a neat way of improving social consciousness, evolving into full-blown movements. [Insert Pokemon evolution joke here?].

Book Reviews

Hi internet people,

I’m looking for reviewers to check out my book The Other Side. If you have an established or occasional book review website or blog and you like scifi/space opera/action/adventure/strong gay characters who aren’t vessels for smut/philosophical inquiry, I’ll be happy to send you a copy.

If this sounds interesting, you can contact me directly at williamxwolfe@live.com

Cheers!

They reading you! (me!)

I just googled myself (sorry, TMI I know) and I came across a website offering “William Wolfe – The Other Side, free PDF eBook Epub Torrent online Download.”

internet-piracy

I stole this picture from the internet

A lot of people would probably be pissed to see this and report the website for piracy. I, on the other hand, smiled because I remembered something the poet Nikki Giovanni once said in an interview.

She had a friend or something (It was a while ago so I don’t remember the details) who owned a bookstore in Queens or Harlem or some other New York Burrough. One time he called her to tell her that several copies of her book had been stolen from his store.

She said – Oh, I’m sorry someone stole from your store. And – that’s too bad, I was hoping my books would sell.

Bookstore owner friend said – No, it’s good! It means they reading you!

I know this goes against copyright laws and is technically cyber crime directed toward me specifically, but if someone wants to read my book enough to steal it, well, that means they reading me!

*NOTE: William Wolfe does not condone stealing in any form, but does support sharing.
